Sligo Triathlon Club invite members interested in acting as assistant public relations officer for the club to get in touch. The officer is responsible for co-ordinating all press releases to the local paper and getting radio coverage for the club. Brian Sexton will continue as PRO and will update the blog and the web. We really need someone with a good command of the English language (I am out) to collate a weekly news piece for the local papers i.e. results, training sessions, and any club news. All the information is readily available and it is just a matter of collating and editing whats on the blog and the weekly news pieces from our secretary.
The club has strong links with all the local papers and radio, the officer will be introduced to all contacts and trained into the role by founding club member Brian Sexton.
The club has grown hugely in the last year in terms of the events we run, training and membership so this role will be exciting and fun.
We really need to increase our exposure in the local papers for the benift of expanding the club and we are responsible for promoting our sponsors.
