The last few weeks have been badly affected by dangerous icy road conditions. Club cyclists have put in plenty of mind numbing laps of the dual carriage-way from Collooney roundabout to Caltragh recently and looked forward to getting back on to the secondry roads and see a bit of the Sligo scenery.
This Saturday's spin kicked off at the later than usual time of 10.30am with a group of ten or more riders heading on a nice route taking in Ballygawley, Ballintogher, Dromahair, Manorhamilton, Rosses point and then back to town. The route gave people the opportunity to head for home from Dromahair as a few of the riders are increasing their mileage gradually after the long winter layoff.
The Saturday Spin resumes next week and leaves from 9am sharp from Markievicz Park.
This is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
